MDS Homes Idaho

Head of Design

Brooke Zaugg

By nature, I have always found or created beauty in my surroundings. It has be an innate desire for me to help others see beauty. This led me to interior design and easily became my passion.

About me

I graduated from Utah State University with a BA in Interior Architecture and Design. In my years of design I have experienced a range of designs and builds from commercial office spaces, an international hospitality resort, multi-million dollar homes, custom furniture design, taken part in six parade homes, and everything in between. I take design very approachable, meeting clients wherever they are at and always striving to exceed expectations and make it an enjoyable process along the way.

My favorite part of the home building process

The finishing phase is my favorite part of the build process! I love seeing all the parts and pieces that we have planned come together. I enjoy watching as clients experience the envisioned space in person. It’s even more special when clients have trusted me with a design and they fall even more in love with it at this stage. If I could give one piece of advice to clients, it would be to trust the process!

What makes the MDS Homes approach special

Having design in-house sets us up for the best possible build! Being able to work directly with the clients, build team, and trades allow us to plan thoughtful designs in advance. Knowing exactly what roles each team member plays and being able to work together seamlessly and meet in-person daily eliminates a lot of miscommunication and barriers that is often experienced in the design and construction world.

A personal detail

Creativity is in my blood, it doesn’t stop with interior design. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, ceramics, and baking. I can’t live without music! I also take great care and interest in my physical and mental health.
